VIIth International Scientific and Technical Conference "From imagery to map: digital photogrammetric technologies"

The VIIth International Scientific and Technical Conference "From imagery to map: digital photogrammetric technologies" became further development and evolvement of the tradition of annual PHOTOMOD User Conferences. The Conference was held on September 17-20, 2007 in Nessebar, Bulgaria.

The Conference was organized by Racurs Co., (Moscow, Russia) and "GIS-Sofia" Ltd. (Sofia, Bulgaria).

The Conference has become the unique site for discussions, knowledge and experience exchange in the sphere of remote sensing and digital photogrammetric technologies. More than 100 business executives and professionals as well as researchers from educational institutions from 17 countries, who deal with remote sensing data and its photogrammetric processing in their everyday work, took part in the Conference. Participants from Germany, Tunisia, and the United Kingdom took part in our event for the first time.

The Conference schedule included plenary sessions, business meetings, workshops, and also rich entertainment program. 28 reports were presented during the plenary sessions.

Social program of the Conference was also interesting and dense. It included excursions to Nessebar, which is in the list of world heritage of UNESCO, to Shipka mountain and to the rose valley, to archeological museum of Varna and its vicinities, as well as welcome drinks, "Bulgaria" Olympic games, which will be retained by participants for a long time, and of course the final dinner and folk dances.
